Everything you'd want to know before your child's first class.
What happens at the trial class?
Your child joins a real 90-minute session with other students. They take part in speaking activities from the start and learn to present to a real audience.
While they are in the room, we spend some time with you to understand your child's challenges to see how we can help them better. After the class, the trainer tells you what your child did well and where they could grow.
My child is very shy. Will they cope?
Most children who come through our door are shy. That is why they are here.
Our trainer helps your child relax and open up at their own pace. They are not pressured to speak before they are ready.
Parents regularly tell us their child came out smiling, asking when the next class is. The trial is the easiest way to see how your child responds in the room.
My child already has English tuition. Why does he still struggle with oral?
Spoken English and written English are different skills. Tuition mainly addresses grammar, comprehension, and composition. Those matter, but they do not focus on teaching your child how to stand in front of a room and deliver their ideas clearly.
PSLE English Oral is worth 20% of the overall grade. It demands that your child adjust their tone, form opinions on the spot, and read with expression. Those skills need weekly, guided practice with real feedback. That is what this programme delivers.
How is this different from drama class?
Every month in the programme, your child researches a topic they choose, writes a structured speech, and presents it to parents. The focus is on your child's own voice, their own ideas, and their ability to communicate clearly in any situation.
The skills transfer directly to school presentations, oral examinations, and everyday conversations.
What ages is this for?
Children aged 4-16+. Children are grouped by age and maturity, so they learn alongside peers at a similar stage.
How often are classes?
Weekly 90-minute sessions on Saturdays and Sundays. Most families prefer weekends because weekdays are already full with school and tuition. If you would rather have a weekday slot, let us know at your trial and we will add your child to the weekday list.
What is the class size?
Maximum 8 children per session. Every child gets real speaking time and personalised feedback.
How will I know if my child is progressing?
Every month, your child presents their original speech to you at a parent presentation. You see the progress yourself, every four weeks. You are not waiting for a report card six months later.
You can also observe sessions through the glass windows at the studio.
